UPDATED: Wightlink have announced that they will not be accepting any new bookings on one of their car ferry services until Monday morning.
Due to a mechanical problem with ‘St Cecilia’, customers are unable to book to travel on the Fishbourne to Portsmouth route as of this evening (Thursday).
The cross-Solent service is currently a vessel down following a fire at Yarmouth, which saw one of the Wight-class ferries operating out of Fishbourne moved back to the Western Solent.
Pre-booked bookings are unaffected by the suspension.
Wightlink say that they will provide an update tomorrow morning.
UPDATE FRIDAY – Wightlink has announced that their booking system has re-opened as of 09:00.
Customers are once again able to book sailings over the weekend and beyond, as normal.
