There is a double celebration for passengers of Wightlink’s Fastcat service this week as not only are late crossings returning, but Costa Coffee has re-opened at the Portsmouth terminal.
As part of the cross-Solent operator’s £1.5million investment in the Fastcat terminal at Portsmouth Harbour, the Costa Coffee outlet was closed down when works began in November 2021.
Although the terminal re-opened back in August 2022, it is only now that the Costa outlet has thrown open the shutters once again.
These photographs, captured by Island Echo reader Christopher Jackson, show what customers can expect when travelling to and from the Isle of Wight.
As previously reported by Island Echo, late night crossings will return to the route at the end of March.

Bet its not open at 3am.
They don’t mention they don’t take cash either….
Why Costa ?, could of had a local company, better coffee and better price’s, instead more money goes to rich CEOs while taking from poor. If ferry prices weren’t enough already, coffee should be free.
It’s a franchise operated by Wightlink.
Excellent! Somewhere warm to while away the hours as we wait for another (cancelled) ferry.
and shell out your cash for an expensive crap product
Soon Coming to Ryde Esplanade…….corporate greed !
Amazing news I am sure the whole population of the Island will be celebrating.
What about the cafe at Ryde Pier Head???
No seats, they took everything out during Covid and never replaced them, it’s a lesser facility than over 10 years ago
