The league management board of the Wessex League, which covers Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight, is to meet this evening (Monday) to decide whether to suspend senior football in the 4 counties as a precaution against the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Wessex League issued the following statement on Sunday:
“Please note that there will be an emergency meeting of the league’s management board; tomorrow (16 March 2020) at 19:00. This has been called to make a decision on whether to suspend all fixtures. A statement will be released following the meeting.”
