Concern for 2 young girls ‘face down on the pavement’ on a residential street in Newport led to a response from Police and paramedics yesterday evening (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to East View, near Nine Acres Primary School, at 17:48 amid fears for the welfare of 2 children found on Nine Acres Lane.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service mobilised an ambulance crew to the scene, with Police also responding to the emergency situation.
Despite rumours of a potential drug overdose, Police have confirmed no drugs were reported, and no crime has been reported either.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says officers were not required in the end.
