2 Isle of Wight cricketers – Adam Hose and Danny Briggs – have been named in the Birmingham Bears squad to play at Headingley against Yorkshire Vikings this evening (Friday).
Both former Ventnor cricketers starred in Birmingham’s 144 run victory against Worcestershire Rapids last Friday (24th June). Adam Hose was the top scoring batsman with 110 not out off 53 balls, including 13 4s and 4 6s. Danny Briggs was the pick of the Birmingham bowlers with figures of 4/25.

Birmingham Bears victory has left them top of the T20 (North) table: 1 of 3 teams on 16 points.
This Sunday (3rd July) the Bears travel to Old Trafford to face Lancashire Lightning in their next T20 fixture.
In Southern Premier Division 1, an out-of-form Ventnor – currently lying in 5th place – travel to Southampton to face 2nd placed Calmore Sports.
In Hampshire Division 1, 2nd-from-bottom Ryde travel to North Hampshire to play 7th-placed Odiham & Greywell.
In Hampshire Division 3 (South), 7th-placed Shanklin & Godshill have a winnable tie against 12th-placed Mudeford at Westhill.
In Hampshire Division 4 (South), 3rd-placed Ventnor 2nds entertain 5th-placed Portsmouth & Southsea at Steephill. 13th-placed Ryde 2nds play 8th-placed Solent Rangers at Harding Shute.
