WANTED MAN ARRESTED BY POLICE FOR ABH ASSAULT IN RYDE

A man wanted in connection with an assault in Ryde was arrested by Police last night (Tuesday). At just gone 20:00, officers responded to an address on East Hill Road in the search for a male wanted in connection with an incident under investigation by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. The 23-year-old suspected was duly located and arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The arrest relates to an altercation io East Hill Road last Friday (19th April). He remains in custody at Newport Police Station at this time.
