Hythe & Dibden began the game brightly but without being able to put the ball in the net. However, after the quarter-of-an-hour mark, it was Vics who began to dominate the game. In the 25th minute, Vics managed to get the ball in their opponents net, only for the effort to be ruled offside. Then Jimmi Burton had a couple of golden opportunities to take the lead for the home side shooting narrowly wide in the 29th and 30th minutes.
Vics found themselves unable to convert their chances and territorial advantage into goals, and the first half ended as a goalless stalemate.
