A Ventnor woman has blasted the ‘thoughtless and insensitive’ behaviour of vandals who have spray painted a 4-letter expletive on the bonnet of her car.
Jane Percival was due to visit her elderly father on the mainland today for the first time since the lockdown came into force. Instead, Jane is counting the cost of the damage to her VW Up and is having to contact Police, insurers and change ferry bookings.
The vehicle was parked overnight in Dudley Road Car Park.
The resident has no idea why her vehicle has been damaged and has described the attack as ‘random’. Jane says she cannot for the life of her think why the incident has taken place.

Random…. I dont think so!…..
.One word tells its own story – random – I also do not think so!
You can wind your neck in too!!
You just dont know! Thats judgemental on the victim!! I was stalked and abused by a random abuser, police evidence showed the perpertrator had offended before and stalked and, abused anorher innocent victim years before at the same address!! Thetes eierdos out there!!
Shut up
im so sorry for you darling breaks my heart
If that’s how close she parks to other people! can you imagen getting back to your car and having to climb in through the passenger door, I would be a little miffed. I no way endorse the vandalism, but a picture speaks a thousand words, its just an observation.
Tell the woman to call me I’m in ventnor I’ll get that removed for her Tel 07739573165
That’s really kind of you
Top man!
a: We don’t know in which order the cars were parked. b: The parking spaces are obviously too small for modern cars. c: The car to the right is not parked evenly in its space.
An Up isn’t a big car!
Typical IOW mentality.
What a pathetic observation from pratt Woz, the car that was damaged is well in the centre of her space so how can it be her fault.
That’s not very nice..
One word tells its own story – random – I also do not think so!
Sounds like some people think the graffiti acceptable if the car was parked too close to another. Really?? What a way to act. The car on the right looks to have been parked on/ over or too near the divide line, anyway.
