Vectis Ventures’ Parks Director, Dominic Wray, has been voted onto the The British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) Management Committee.
Vectis Ventures is the parent company of Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill. The company believe the appointment will see the parks – and the Island as a destination – put on the map.
Wray was voted onto the committee by peers from BALPPA, which has members from some of the biggest attractions in the country, including Paultons Park and Merlin. He will now have input into the strategic direction of BALPPA.
On his appointment, Dominic said:
“I couldn’t be happier to have been voted on, it means a lot to know that our business is being recognised within the industry, and I’m keen to explore whatever opportunities it will open up for us.”
It’s a great start to what will be a memorable year for Vectis, with Blackgang Chine entering its 180th year, which they will be celebrating all season and launching with the opening of their brand new ride, a huge investment for the park, which will no doubt bring about new audiences, as well as delight regular fans of the park.
“Robin Hill will also welcome a new attraction, and be welcoming back some great headline music events.”
