Vectis Colts continued their unbeaten run with a 14-47 away victory over Fawley, keeping them at the top of their league.
The match began with a blistering spell from Vectis, who ran in three tries in quick succession. A brief lapse allowed Fawley to respond with a couple of scores of their own, but the Islanders quickly reasserted control and finished the game in commanding fashion.
Full-back Freddie Hiom stood out with a superb all-round performance, fielding high balls under pressure and making strong, driving returns to put Vectis on the front foot.
This confident display cements the Colts’ position at the summit of the table as they look ahead to home fixtures against Trojans and Romsey before Christmas.

U16s BATTLE HARD AGAINST STRONG WINCHESTER SIDE
Vectis U16s faced a tough test against a well-drilled Winchester outfit, eventually falling 53–5 despite a brave and skilful performance.
Ollie Rees crossed for Vectis’ try after a sustained period of pressure, while the team’s determination and teamwork shone through against a physically dominant opposition.

MOMENT OF REMEMBRANCE ACROSS ALL AGE GROUPS
All Vectis Rugby squads—from the U6s to the U12s, U14s and Girls teams—paused their training at 11:00 on Sunday to observe two minutes of silence in honour of Remembrance Sunday.
The sight of the club’s youngest players standing shoulder to shoulder with their older counterparts created a poignant and powerful moment, reflecting the true community spirit and respect at the heart of Vectis RFC.
