Public footpath B54 between the Main Road at Alverstone and the cycle track has been closed today (Friday) due to a falling and unsafe tree adjacent to the path near the cycletrack end.
When the tree has been made safe and its remnants removed from across the path, the path will be reopened.
In the meantime the nearby cycletrack will need to be used by pedestrians to bypass the closed path.
