UPDATED: Emergency services are this afternoon attending a two car collision in Shanklin.
Two appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene of the crash at the junction of Brooke Road and Carter Avenue, alongside Police and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
UPDATE @ 15:15 – It is understood two cars – a Ford and a Toyota – collided shortly before 14:30. One woman has received head and facial injuries.
The unknown female has been helped free from her vehicle by firefighters, who have now left the scene.
Meanwhile on the outskirts of Newport, a vehicle has been involved in a minor collision with a cyclist on the Racecourse Roundabout. One person, the cyclist, has been treated by paramedics and has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital.
