Tributes have been paid to Yonatan Rapoport who was tragically killed during the Hamas attack on kibbutz Be’eri in Israel last week.
Known as Yoni, Mr Rapoport’s parents married on the Island in 1982 and he was born here the same year.
Yoni is believed to be 1 of at least 9 British nationals who were killed in the attack.
According to media reports, the father of 2 was a ‘diehard’ Manchester United fan and was due to attend their fixture with Luton Town next month along with his son, Yosefi.
Friends and family have paid tribute to Yoni, describing him as a ‘gentle person’ who was ‘so kind and so loving’, according to the BBC.
