Island golf star Brandon Robinson-Thompson finished 59th in his major debut at the 151st Open Championship in Hoylake.
Making his debut at Royal Liverpool, 30-year-old Brandon from Totland – finished +6 after battling wet and windy conditions throughout the 4-day tournament.
Robinson-Thompson – whose Grandfather taught him to play Golf at Freshwater Bay Golf club – made the earlier +3 cut with a stroke to spare. His best round of the 4 was a first-round 71.
For all his efforts, Brandon – who has been a pro for just 5 years -managed to scoop a tasty looking £40,500 in prize money finishing above some of the sports big names including Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Danny Willett.
Just before heading to Merseyside, Brandon won his 2nd title of 2023 after winning at the Northern Ireland Open. Robinson-Thompson has also secured 3x top-10 finishes on the MENA tour.
