UPDATED WITH VIDEO: Three vehicles have been involved in a collision in Ashey this morning (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 08:00 following reports of three vehicles colliding at the junction of Ashey Road and East Ashey Lane.
Two ambulances, Police and fire crews are currently in attendance, however the road remains open. There are slight delays in the area.
UPDATE @ 08:45 – Two appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been called to the scene, with firefighters from Ryde and Newport now working to free a female passenger trapped inside a car, a white Honda Civic.
Ashey Road remains open in both directions, however Police are directing traffic. Motorists are advised to find an alternative route if possible.
East Ashey Lane is closed.
