Tesco has issued an urgent recall on several of its pasta salad products – including those in the popular meal deal – due to the potential presence of Salmonella.
The supermarket giant has issued a food safety alert urging customers not to eat the affected products and instead return them to any Tesco store for a full refund. No receipt is required.
The recall applies to the following items, which you may have picked up today:
-
Tesco Basil Pesto & Semi Dried Tomato Pasta (225g) – use by 24th July 2025
-
Tesco Chicken & Chorizo Pasta (285g) – use by 24th and 25th July 2025
-
Tesco Feta Semi Dried Tomato Pasta (290g) – use by 24th July 2025
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that can cause symptoms such as fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Public health advice recommends anyone suffering from these symptoms should remain away from work, school or nursery until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
Tesco has confirmed that customer notices are being displayed in stores to inform shoppers about the issue and provide guidance.
