This year’s annual West Wight Charity Tennis Tournament is to take place on Sunday 1st July, with Age UK Isle of Wight being the beneficiary for 2018.

The tournament, organised by Chris Goodman, will see a number of matches being played at courts throughout the West Wight and will be followed by a delicious lunch for 120 guests at Westover House, Calbourne (by kind permission of John and Caroline Weeks).

Players’ tournament entry fees will be donated to Age UK Isle of Wight, proceeds of which are expected to total more than £2,000.

Allison Kimber, Good Neighbour Scheme Project Officer for Age UK Isle of Wight commented:

“We are so grateful to the organisers and players for choosing Age UK Isle of Wight to benefit from this fantastic event. The money raised will enable us to continue to help our clients to combat loneliness and social isolation and to support their independence to remain in their own homes.

“Thank you to everyone who will be attending and donating, your support is so very much appreciated.”
