3 fire appliances from Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde have responded to reports of a potential fire at Cliff Court residential home in Lake this evening (Tuesday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to Currie Road at just before 18:20 following the activation of the building’s fire alarm system.
Upon arrival crews quickly established a tealight had set off a detector unit in one of the rooms.
Fire crews have now stood down from the incident.
