Symphonix Orchestra, in collaboration with Isle of Wight Pride, is to present the first show of its kind in the UK at next weekend’s Pride event in Ryde. Andrew Browning, as George Michael, will appear alongside a stunning 30-piece orchestra and the Star People Band for a brand new 2024 show! Andrew has appeared as George Michael on Stars in their Eyes and was also George’s double in his music video ‘As’. Songs being performed between 12:30-14:30 on Sunday 21st July include Outside, Careless Whisper, Club Tropicana, Wake Me Up Before You Go-go and many more. Between 14:45 and 15:30, sensational drag queen Cherry Liquor will take to the stage. Then, from 16:00-17:50, the ‘Platinum Queen’ rock band will entertain the crowds with Dave Jerome as Freddie Mercury, accompanied by a 30-piece orchestra and the Island’s very own Punk soprano, Friederike Skeet. Songs being performed include Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions, Barcelona, We Will Rock You and many more. This coming Sunday’s event is to be hosted by Terry Keeble. Tickets are £10.00 (+booking fee) for over 6 hours of entertainment. VIP tickets, price at £20 (+booking fee) include a better view, a limited edition pride programme, VIP bar area and toilets. Actually, I totally agree with you on that. Schools are for necessary education, & that is not necessary. Should be up to parents, what they want their kids to know. But I don’t get how having a concert is shoving it down your throat.
