UPDATED: Emergency services are this evening attending an incident at the Red Jet terminal in Cowes where it is understood a suspicious object has been discovered.
Passengers on board the Red Jet crossing from Southampton are currently unable to berth due to the evacuation and closure of the terminal.
Police are in attendance.
UPDATE @ 17:06 – The terminal has now been reopened after the object, an empty suitcase, was deemed safe. The 16:45 sailing from Cowes was slightly delayed.
