PICTURES: Bestival’s Summer of Love has kicked off in style today (Thursday) as up to 55,000 people begin to pack out Robin Hill Country Park near Newport for what is set to be a fun-filled weekend with the likes of Duran Duran, The Chemical Brothers and The Jackson’s taking to the stage.
Under the glorious late Summer sunshine the campsites have been filling up with thousands of tents for as far as the eye can see, with even more revellers expected to arrive tomorrow (Friday).
Despite the atrocious weather over the past couple of weeks, the recent pleasant weather has dried the site out just perfectly, although some rain is forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
As the sun sets across Downend, the party is well and truly getting underway…
