Vectis RFC teams celebrated a successful weekend on the mainland, with both the Colts and Under 13s securing impressive away victories.
The Vectis Colts earned their first win of the season in emphatic fashion, beating Camberley 38-0 despite missing several key players. A dominant all-round performance saw the team control both possession and territory throughout the match.
The forward pack laid a solid foundation, enabling the backs to launch sharp and effective attacking phases that overwhelmed the opposition defence.
Vectis coaches commented:
“The score reflected the game. The big difference today was the team cohesiveness both sides of the ball. The boys worked hard for each other.
“The exciting thing is that there is still room for improvement.”
Meanwhile, the Vectis Under 13s continued the club’s winning momentum with a hard-fought 9-3 triumph away at Basingstoke. The match was a high-quality contest, but Vectis pulled ahead through superior attacking play and determined teamwork.

Both victories mark a strong step forward for the club’s youth squads as the season progresses.
