The Caulkheads in Sandown is set to change hands next week, with the owners of Brading’s The Bugle Inn taking the helm.
Following a successful year at The Bugle, the husband and wife team of Daniel and Jasmine Ashley-Walker have purchased Caulkheads from The Character Inns group, who have run the Avenue Road pub for the past 8 years.
With no radical changes in mind for Caulkheads, Dan and Jas want to work alongside managers Reece, Lizzee and the fantastic team already in place at this popular family dining landmark. They will work together to enhance its popularity and make it a ‘destination pub’ for families and locals alike.
The ever-popular Sunday roast carvery will be introduced, partnered with Caulkheads’ already popular stone-baked pizzas and traditional pub classics.
Speaking about the purchase, Dan has said:
“Jas and I want to continue to make Caulkheads a thriving family pub and we are grateful for all the support we have received so far with the passing of this baton.
“Special thanks to our island suppliers, the teams at The Bugle and The Caulkheads and especially the local support from our island customers.”
Dan and Jas take over on Monday (2nd October), but the doors will closed until Thursday 5th October at 11:00.
