Forecast sub-zero road surface temperatures have led to the decision to grit the Island’s road network this evening (Tuesday).
Island Roads has confirmed that its fleet will be deployed across the Isle of Wight from 18:00.
The mercury is set to drop as darkness falls, with road surface temperatures expected to drop below 0c.
A spokesperson for Island Roads has said:
“Please take additional care wherever you are on the network”.
