Isle of Wight community groups, charities, sports teams, arts organisations and local initiatives are reminded that there’s still time to apply for cross-Solent travel support through the Wightlink in the Community Sponsorship Scheme.
The scheme reflects Wightlink’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Island and the people who make it such a vibrant and inspiring place to live, work and visit.
Wightlink is especially keen to support initiatives involving young people, and welcomes applications from groups that create opportunities, build confidence and inspire the next generation to pursue their ambitions.
Applications are now open, with local organisations encouraged to apply by 31 October 2025.
Sam Woodman, Wightlink’s Partnerships Marketing Manager, said:
“We’re proud to support a wide range of community-led initiatives that enrich life on the Island. If your group or organisation could benefit from cross-Solent travel support and you think Wightlink could help make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.”

Since its launch, Wightlink in the Community has backed a diverse range of causes across sport, education, culture, the environment and wellbeing. Past recipients include grassroots sports teams, conservation projects, youth organisations and local arts groups.
