A nationwide test of the UK Emergency Alerts system will take place later today (Sunday), with all compatible mobile phones and tablets across the country set to receive the alert.
At 15:00, the test notification will be sent to devices connected to 4G and 5G networks and is part of routine checks to ensure the system is working correctly in the event of a real emergency.
This follows the first successful national test carried out in April 2023.
Emergency alerts are designed to warn the public if there is a risk to life nearby, such as severe weather, fires or public safety threats. Sunday’s test is not linked to any actual danger and no action is required from the public.
When the alert is issued, devices will emit a loud, siren-like sound and vibrate. The message will appear on the screen for around 10 seconds. People with hearing or vision impairments will still be able to receive the alert through audio and vibration signals.
While it is possible to opt out of receiving alerts, the government recommends keeping them enabled for personal safety. Details on how to opt out can be found here.
The test alert will automatically stop after a short time.

What’s the point? If there was ever a real live threat to life, this shit show would be informed well before any of us to make bloody sure all their arses are protected and out of the way. They wouldn’t give a shit about us, any more than they do now, and any money that would be needed to clear up, would be spent on them first. More wasted money to cop the tax payers for.

Fact is, if you own (and use) a mobile phone,.. they know where you are & who you are with (e.g. in the vicinity of) almost every second of every day anyway..
it amuses me that you (not you specific, but ‘you’ general) worry about these alerts, & vaccines, & gay rights etc…… but believe all the BS you read and see on FB, GBN or BBC etc…(even IE) & don’t consider that all that stuff is being used to control you…
all information you are presented with, from whatever source, has been filtered to present the angle that the organisation presenting it, wants you to believe….
