Staff at Isle of Wight NHS Trust are raising funds this Easter Bank Holiday Monday (2nd April 2018), to support an Island family affected by cancer.
The match was due to be held on New Year’s Day but had to be cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Michelle Wright’s partner Steve is terminally ill with cancer. Michelle and Steve, who works on the Island for parcel delivery company UPS, have 3 young children.
The match between hospital theatre staff and a side of Isle of Wight all comers is being staged at St. George’s Park, Newport by kind permission of Newport IW Football Club and the day starts at 11:00. Kick off, weather permitting, will be 11:30.
All ages and abilities are welcome for this just for fun friendly match. All proceeds from the day will go towards giving the family time away together and expenses for treatment in Southampton.
Supporters are welcome to join for an action packed afternoon of football fun. There will be a range of refreshments available, along with a raffle and auction for some amazing prizes and face painting.
