Robin Hill is celebrating the Chinese New Year with a final dazzling display of light and colour at this year’s Spirit of the Orient event, which is coming to an end after 11 years.
The park will be transformed from the 11th-18th February, inviting guests to stroll through the illuminated ancient woodland and experience an impressive display of lighting exhibits and Chinese lanterns.
Buried deep beneath shoots of bamboo, Robin Hill’s resident panda duo, Blossom and Ping, will star in their brand-new show, Panda-monium.
The celebration will also include a dazzling Chinese Lion performance, featuring a powerful dance choreographed to a unique soundscape. In China, lions are said to symbolise strength, stability and superiority.
The spectacle will conclude with a 12-foot dragon procession creating an electric atmosphere throughout the park.
Events Manager, Verity McCormick, said:
“The team here at Robin Hill have immensely enjoyed working on such an incredible event over the past 11 years, and we’re so excited to be illuminating the park once more for our final Spirit of the Orient celebration. This year is set to go out with a bang, featuring two amazing performances, stunning light displays and delightful flavours of the Chinese delicacy…it is definitely not one to miss!”
