Gavin Hallam, Southern Co-op’s Area Business Manager for the Isle of Wight, said:

“Sunday’s game was brilliant. They all played so well and it was great to see them looking so smart!

“We are an independent regional cooperative so we make sure we support our local communities through our community engagement programme.

“All of our stores on the island have contributed to this donation so it is good to see that it has already helped bring a smile to the players’ faces. We wish them all the best for a successful season.”

Southern Co-op supported Downside Youth Football Club as part of its community engagement programme ‘Love Your Neighbourhood’. This initiative addresses 4 key social themes for promoting: ‘Greener’, ‘Healthier’, ‘Safer’, and ‘More Inclusive’ neighbourhoods.
