Fire crews have extinguished a fire at a property in Sandown High Street this morning (Thursday) after a flat became smoke-logged.
Two appliances from Sandown and Shanklin were mobilised to the scene at 02:43 after reports from the occupier of a flat.
Investigations found that the smoke was coming from the property below, Fat Harry’s fish and chips.
The fire has been extinguished and crews have ventilated the property by opening the doors and windows.
No one is thought to have been injured.
