A pair of Isle of Wight men who stole 3 Slush Puppie drinks machines from a parked van are to be sentenced in the New Year.
18-year-old Harrison Mills-Jones, of Queens Court in East Cowes and 30-year-old Lewis Stansfield, of Manor Crescent in Newport admitted theft from a motor vehicle when they appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.
Prosecuting, Lauren McConnell told the court that in the early hours of 2nd May, on Snowberry Road in Newport, witnesses saw 2 men take items from a van.
A short while later, Police were called to the scene and detained Mills-Jones. Stansfield was arrested a short while later having been located elsewhere.
2 Slushie machines were recovered from a Hyundai, with the 3rd handed into Police at a later date.
The court heard how the loss of the machines – valued at around £9,000 – had seen the business owner lose out on about £2,520 in earnings during the busy May period.
Pre-sentence reports are to be compiled ahead of the sentencing of both men. Stansfield is next due before a bench of Magistrates on 10th January, whilst Mills Jones won’t appear until 24th January.

Looks like the slush puppie thugs need a cooling off period.
