A sink hole that has appeared in the middle of a busy Shanklin road has led to its emergency closure.
It was late last night (Tuesday) that the carriageway at North Road gave way, revealing a hole in the middle of the road.
Local residents were quick to divert motorists away from the void, using cones to mark the danger.
Island Roads has since implemented an emergency road closure between the junctions of St Pauls Avenue and Clarendon Road.
All traffic is being diverted locally.

Are the police looking into it?
Ye reeves is looking to tax it..
Odds on if Andy doesn’t get rid of her
either her or Ed will introduce a fart tax.
Sales of Baked beans will plummet!
Might be a short cut to a Tesco Express
“Every little helps”
Might need to increase the repair marking a bit
I might climb down and have a look
Be careful you might find a Numpty down there,
from what I have been reading on I.E recently
numpties are floating around the Shanklin area.
Lol
