29-year-old Joshua Hunt, who stole more than £150 worth of goods from Tesco in Newport, will learn his fate in October.
Hunt, of no fixed abode but previously of Military Road Brighstone, admitted a single charge of theft from a shop when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court last week (Friday).
The court heard how on the 4th July, Hunt entered Tesco Express on High Street in Newport and stole £155 worth of goods.
Hunt has 6 previous convictions on his record for around 14 offences.
The case has been adjourned to tie up with an existing sentencing hearing for other matters on the 14th October.

He is probably wondering how when the total thieved was under £200 he was charged. “It’s not fair” he said!
It seems some people are misinterpreting Tesco’s
“Every little helps” slogan.
