JR Zone, the popular soft play attraction in Newport, has unexpectedly closed its doors with all bookings cancelled.
Families have expressed their anger and disappointment at the news, which came in the form of an email on Sunday evening.
On their website, it states that JR Zone has temporarily closed to ‘explore an exciting opportunity with a potential new owner’, but no further information about who this may be has been revealed.
Island Echo understands it is unlikely that the attraction will reopen at Manners View, but the business will continue.
The statement continues:
“Thank you for your amazing support. All existing bookings are being refunded in full within 3-5 working days”.
One upset Islander has taken to social media to say:
“I received this [email] 6 days before my girls party. Gutted is understatement. I’ve got no time to rearrange, sort invites, and I have to wait for a refund. What a disaster”.

The company’s official Facebook Page has been disabled.
Island Echo approached JR Zone for a statement earlier this morning.
