The main road between Shanklin and Ventnor will be closed next week to allow for works to be carried out on behalf of Southern Water.
Dyno Rod are set to begin work on Church Road, close to the Old Village, on Monday morning from around 07:00.
Whilst official closure notices state that the road could be closed until Friday, advanced warning signs state that the work is estimated to take 2 days.
Contractors will be working between Grange Road and Priory Road. The closure is in the interests of safety.
Motorists travelling between the 2 seaside towns will have to divert via Victoria Avenue, Whiteley Bank and Wroxall in both directions.
Can someone confirm when this starts as the signs say 2 days from 22nd wed and ur saying from monday but surely the sign would have to say that to?
