SHANKLIN & SANDOWN’S JOINT CAPTAINS’ DAY RAISES OVER £600 FOR CARE IN THE GARDEN

18 teams took to the fairways for Shanklin & Sandown’s annual Joint Captains’ Am-Am competition on Sunday 7th July. From a shotgun start, this fun competition allowed teams to buy and play a ‘Joker’ on a certain hole, which doubled the team’s score on that hole. The best men’s team, and overall winners, were Will Cartwright, Steve Cutler, Luke Hatch and Mark Taskas with 134 points. The best Ladies’ team, were Chris Gould, Lorrie Hawkins, Connie Huntington and Christine O’Brien with 128 points. The best Mixed Team were Catherine Bachelor, Mike Bulpitt, James Lucy and Bev Whorwood, scoring 125 points. The day raised £654, which was donated to Wootton’s ‘Care in the Garden’.
