At 11:00, club members gathered in the car park to observe the 2-minute silence to honour the fallen and, at 11:20, the claxon sounded and, from a shot-gun start, the Am-Am competition began.
The winners of the RBL Commemorative Golf Medal were Club Captain, Sean Millward, Tony Bond, Andy Westhorpe and Mike Ward, carding 119 points. Runners up, scoring 117 points, were Catherine Bachelor, Michael Bulpitt, George Godliman and Dawn Hodge.
Nearest the pin for the ladies was won by Ladies’ Captain Chris Gould and, for the men, Tony Williams.
The event, under the auspices of the Royal British Legion, and organised by Club Captain Sean Millward and Ladies’ Captain Chris Gould raised £885 for the Royal British Legion.
