Shanklin & Godshill have secured their 1st win of the season at their 3rd attempt by beating Bashley by 7 wickets at Westhill on Saturday (27th May).
Bashley won the toss and elected to bat. The Hampshire side put on 155 from their 45 overs with Thom Reid top scoring for the Hampshire side with 29 before being caught by Olly Niemiec off the bowling of Callum Wright.
Callum Wright was the pick of the Shanklin bowlers with figures of 3-28. M. Lambourne (2-18) and Ben White (2-12) also bagged braces of wickets for the home side.
In reply, Shanklin comfortably surpassed the Bashley total with 7 wickets and 13 overs to spare. Callum Wright top scored for Shanklin with an unbeaten half century. Captain Ben White put on 37 runs before being caught by Paul Kemp off the bowling of Thom Reid.

Ventnor have advanced to 5th place in Southern Premier Division 1 with a 4 wicket win over Hook and Newnham.
Hook and Newnham won the toss and elected to bat, putting on 277 in their 50 overs. Harry Robson top scored for Hook with 106 before being caught by Ben Woodhouse off the bowling of Charlie Calloway.
Charlie Calloway was the pick of the Ventnor bowlers with figures of 3-46. Ross Whyte (2-47) and Ollie Morgan (2-45) both bagged braces for the Island side.
Ventnor got past the Hook total with 6 overs to spare, largely thanks to the 146 runs scored by Sri Lankan professional Dineth Thimodya, which included 15 4s and 5 6s. Dineth was supported by Sam Mills (47) and Tom Friend (34)

In Hampshire Division 4 (South), Ventnor 2nds secured a comprehensive 379 run victory over Emsworth at Steephill.
Ventnor reached a total of 464/2 in their 45 overs. James Cheek (209) and Martin Blackman (204 not out) both scored double centuries for Ventnor.
Emsworth managed a total of just 85 runs in reply off 27 overs. Toby Noyes was the best of the Ventnor bowlers with figures of 5-16.

Ryde remain winless in Hampshire Division 1 after a 73 run defeat to Bournemouth.
Ryde skittled Bournemouth out for 160 runs with captain Sam Rockley (4-50) returning the best figures for the Island side.
Ryde could manage no more than 83 in reply before being bowled out in the 38th over. Ben Gregory put on the most resistance fo0r Ryde before being stumped after scoring 27 runs.

In Division 4 (South) bottom-of-the-table Ryde 2nds were comprehensively beaten by 10 wickets by Old Netley & Highfield at Harding Shute.
