The Isle of Wight Sheriff, James Attrill, presented awards to the Ryde Saints senior players at Ryde Town Club on Saturday.
Mr Attrill is a trustee of the Daisie Rich Trust, which has helped Ryde Saints to develop Salters Park in Haylands for youth football. In addition, following the approach from Newport FC, the trust has also helped the club make the shared facilities at Smallbrook Stadium ready to meet the standard required for Wessex League football.
15 awards were given to senior players. The First Team and Reserve teams’ Managers’ top players for the season were Conor Lyon and Nathan Holton respectively. The First Team’s Young Player of the season was Cian McGhee: a very popular decision. Keir Ramage took the award for being the most improved player first team player.
Mr Attrill was happy to congratulate all the award winners individually and invited Des Murphy, a club director and chairman for the evening, to join him for Nathan’s photo.
