Lee Rowley, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Local Government and Building Safety, is visiting the Isle of Wight today (Tuesday).
A Government minister is visiting the Island following the recent announcement of £20million in levelling up funding for Ryde, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Welcoming the visit, Bob Seely MP, said:
“I am delighted to see Levelling Up Minister Lee Rowley MP, on the Island. I am sure he will be given a warm Island welcome.
“I spoke to Lee over the weekend again about the Island’s funding settlement to help support services. Earlier this year, I persuaded the Government to look again at the Island’s finances. They are still doing so.
“I’m grateful to the Council and to Isle of Wight Council Chief Executive Wendy Perera that our finance expert Chris Ward has been allowed to develop the Island’s case. This has enabled all of us to present our case to the Government.”

Sausage Bob is welcoming something again. I expect the presentation will be a botch as per usual. The council and Seeley are not well known for thinking about stuff to deeply are they. Combined they will be amazingly inept.
What they think this is a game show or something. Levelling up really means buying votes. Maybe if they did not cut everything to the bone we wouldn’t need levelling up.
They couldn’t undo a packet of crisps between them.
Tory vermin.
Smug, lying, self-serving and, worst of all, utterly useless and incompetent vermin.
couldn’t have put it better myself…
Maybe they will have a Barbeque in Seaview
Obviously Bob will provide the Sausages
Tbf, the Tories have really levelled up raw sewage releases (3000+%), small boat migrants (15000+%), and Michelle Mone’s bank balance (Rishi bought her a private jet and superyacht with NHS funds).
I wonder what she gave Fishi Rishi?
