The Old Fort in Seaview has been crowned Isle of Wight Pub & Bar of the Year 2024 in this year’s National Pub & Bar Awards. Having won ‘Best in County’, the multi-award winning seaside pub and restaurant is now up for ‘Best in Region’ and even in the running for the prestigious ‘National Pub & Bar of the Year’ in this year’s awards, the winners of which will be announced at the Grand Final in London on Wednesday 26th June. Will Simonds, Co-Owner & Proprietor of The Old Fort, has said:
“What an absolutly incredible honour this is. We are beyond chuffed, to say the least. We are so incredibly grateful to our epic team who help make us what we are – and without whom, this achievement would simply not have been possible. Our team’s continued hard work, energy, drive and dedication have truly put us on the map and made us a true destination pub for locals and visitors alike. “This really is quite an achievement for our once little, sleepy, seasonal, seaside pub and we just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the event organisers Pub & Bar Magazine and H2O Publishing as well as all the event sponsors Tyrrells, Kerrymaid, Panasonic, Santa Maria, Sky Business – and especially our friends over at ICRTouch”.
Justin Evelegh, Co-Owner & Proprietor of The Old Fort, went on to say:
“A huge congratulations to all our fellow county winners, it really was some stiff competition out there – just goes to show hard work does pay off! Both Will & myself are looking forward to meeting you all at the awards.”

I have to agree best food by far on the island.
Well done
Those guys look annoying
No they look very Seaview lol
Ha yes. Like, tell me you’re from Seaview without telling me you’re from Seaview.
You can’t judge a book by looking at the cover, especially when you are an inbred caulkhead with no experience of people other than close family members.
Obviously ‘down’ from somewhere.
