Shanklin Sandown rowers Anna Scott and Esme Walters celebrated championship success at the Hants & Dorset Rowing Association’s annual presentation dinner in Eastleigh.
The pair, crowned this year’s Ladies Junior Pairs Champions, received their trophies and medals from H&D President Andy Williams at the ceremony held at Eastleigh Football Club.
Their success marks an incredible eleventh consecutive year that Shanklin Sandown RC has secured at least one Hants & Dorset championship title – a remarkable run of dominance on the regional rowing scene.
The club now turns its focus indoors, as it prepares to host the Isle of Wight Rowing Forum Indoor Championships this Sunday as part of its winter competition programme.
