The troublesome Cowes Floating Bridge has been pulled from service once again this morning (Saturday). It has been confirmed that the service, which crosses the River Medina from East Cowes to West Cowes, has been suspended. No reason has yet been given for this latest disruption. It’s thought that Floating Bridge No.6 has been stuck on the East Cowes side of the river since at least 07:45. As usual, a launch service is in operation for cyclists and pedestrians. UPDATE SUNDAY – The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed the service is to remain suspended all weekend, due to an electrical fault.
