SANDOWN & SHANKLIN TEAM WIN HOME AM-AM EVENT AGAINST 44 OTHER TEAMS

A home team won 1 of Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club’s biggest annual events ‒ in which 45 teams competed ‒ on Saturday (21st May).

The winning Shanklin & Sandown team were Adrian Wilkinson, Aaron Baker, Luke Gales and James Gunningham. Runners up were Lee Webb, Keith Hardie, Stuart Conning and David Rowe from Lee-on-Solent Golf Club.

The well-attended Am-Am event saw the teams battling for 3 ‘hole in 1’ prizes, nearest the pin on all par 3s and nearest the line on the 8th. The 9th Hole Challenge, organised by Club Professional Peter Hammond, was a much-enjoyed add-on to the competition.

Sam Hardwick from Bramshaw found himself the recipient of a TaylorMade SIM 2 Max Driver with his hole in 1 on the 5th.
