Sandown’s popular New Year’s Day fireworks display from the end of the town’s pier is scheduled for 18:00 this Sunday.
To allow safe spectator viewing, the Esplanade will be closed between Pier Street and Esplanade Road from 16:30 until approximately 18:30.
Organised by Sandown Carnival,
Paul Coueslant, Chair of Sandown Carnival which organises the event, says:
“Our spectacular display is usually visible all along the Bay and entices residents and visitors to get out and celebrate after Christmas. We’re delighted to put it on as our first event of 2023”.
