Flowers that were vandalised along the seafront in Ryde have been swiftly replaced, bringing colour back to the Esplanade. At some point between Friday night and Saturday morning, a number of flower beds between the bus station and Superbowl were targeted by disrespectful individuals, with flowers ripped out and strewn across the pavement. Local councillor Karen Lucioni took to social media to simply say “why, just why?”. With an influx of tourists expected within days, the Isle of Wight Council has acted quickly to ensure Ryde is looking its best. 
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Council has said:
“It’s unfortunate when we get such vandalism, but we know the overwhelming majority of residents and visitors to Ryde love to see the summer flowers along the seafront. “Our parks officer, working with contractor John O’Conner arranged for them to be replanted first thing this morning”.
What can you say other then you reap what you sow.

Unless razor wire surrounds each plant more waste of our money, for the feral parents of such benefit kept trash will not be paying any council tax, or rent, as all state funded, and now it is mostly those who ‘shouldn’t’ be having children, who do, as they ‘use’ them as a free house, money, and meal ticket, but don’t love or want them, hence they turn vile, and have offspring of their own as soon a puberty hits, thus each following generation is ever worse, and more costly to keep.

So in the space of the weekend the iow council can replace these plants, but for years have neglected the railings along Sandown seafront that Sandown has to use town precept money and volunteers to repaint them. Disgusting from iow council
