UPDATED: Ryde Inshore Rescue has launched at the request of Solent Coastguard this evening (Friday).
The independent lifeboat station were tasked to the currently unknown incident at 19:15.
Ryde Rescue 1 – the charity’s largest lifeboat – is currently conducting a search off Seagrove Bay near Seaview, although no persons or vessels appear to be in difficulty.
UPDATE @ 23:25 – It has been confirmed that Ryde Rescue 1 has located the 24ft boat ‘Aquilla’ on the opposite side of the Solent and has conducted a tow to Northney Marina in Chichester Harbour.
