UPDATED: The High Volume Pump appliance from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is en-route to Ryde Canoe Lake this morning to pump excess water back to sea.
The water level has been slowly rising over the past 48hrs, with most of the footpaths flooded at around 23:30 last night.
Crews will remain on the scene throughout this morning (Wednesday) to bring the water levels down to normal.
At times, North Walk may be closed to traffic either partially or fully.
UPDATED @ 08:50 THURSDAY – Crews returned to Ryde Canoe Lake night and continued pumping excess water back to the sea.
