Firefighters were called to a late night garden fire in Ryde yesterday (Wednesday).
One pumping appliance from Ryde Fire Station was called to a property in Upton Road, Haylands shortly before 22:55 after receiving reports of a fire in the rear garden.
Island Echo understand decking at the rear of the semi-detached property had caught alight, however, the blaze was out upon arrival after residents used a watering hose to extinguish the flames.
Crews used a single hose reel to dampen down the wood before leaving the scene around 40 minutes later.
