The match of the week saw Ryde Rovers and Newport Vics B share the points in a 5-5 draw. 5 matches went the full 5 sets, with several surprises. Newport’s Paul Freeborn was beaten in straight sets by both Chris Stringer and Alan Dennis. Michael Jose endured a demanding evening, with all 3 singles going to deciding sets, plus a 5-set doubles. Jose won 2 singles but lost to Dennis, who was in excellent form. Jose and Paul Lewis secured the doubles on deuce to ensure the draw.
Shorwell Sinners edged Ryde Rogues 6-4 in another close contest. Peter Clarke was unbeaten and player of the match for Ryde, but Robert Wendes and Guy Golbourn clinched the doubles in 5 sets to seal victory for Shorwell.
Newport Vics A strengthened their grip at the top with a commanding 10-0 win over Havenstreet B, while Ryde Rising Stars recorded an 8-2 victory against Ryde Retailers.

Draws and dominant wins shaped Division 3 as the promotion battle tightened.
The match of the week featured Shorwell Saviours and Ryde Odd Balls, who finished level at 5-5. Eleven-year-old Ollie Lewis impressed with 2 singles wins, while his father Gareth was unbeaten and named player of the match. Martyn Walker claimed 2 for Shorwell and teamed with Christian Rhodes to win the doubles and secure the draw.
Cowes Baptists maintained 2nd place with an 8-2 victory over Shorwell Saints. Newport Vics C moved closer in 3rd after a 10-0 win against Wroxall Lizards. Wroxall Warriors A and Wroxall Warriors B also secured convincing wins to maintain their strong league positions.
